Another environmental check?

The DEHOGA environmental check award for the period 10/2021-09/2023 – we are particularly proud of gold

As a caterer, FLORIS is of course a member of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA). Climate protection has also become a major issue for DEHOGA. With the "DEHOGA Environmental Check", the association is meeting the need for transparent proof of environmental and climate protection in member companies.

Gold for FLORISFLORIS not only passed the environmental check in the categories of energy & climate, water, waste and food, but was also awarded gold. This makes FLORIS the first catering company in Berlin to receive this award. We are delighted with this official confirmation of our environmentally conscious and sustainable actions.

The criteria for the environmental check

The award was not given to FLORIS. Rather, we were put through our paces in all areas. This included

• Our energy and water consumption
• The amount of waste and residual waste and how we deal with it
• Origin and production of food
• Regional purchasing

In all areas we were able to undercut the limits or meet the requirements necessary for the gold award.
